A COLLABORATION WITH DEIRDRE AND JON
Anchored in depths of mood and distinct elements of rich film photography, it’s not hard to imagine the rolling cinematic version of Deirdre and Jon’s work. Each photo a purely gorgeous screen grab steeped in the authenticity of its subjects. A perfect frame frozen on PAUSE. Everything this duo shares borders on unreasonably beautiful, so it’s no surprise that this collection of presets masterfully evokes pristine nostalgia.
These color forward presets are designed to preserve true-to-life tones that take you right back to the moment. Focusing on the power of color to tease out emotion and authenticity, each preset is diverse in its application and unique in its effectiveness. Both Deirdre and Jon wanted to prioritize the editing experience, so rather than sticking with just one theme in this pack, they’ve expanded on a theme that incorporates different elements into a preset depending on the emotion conveyed. Simply said, some of the presets were created to make it feel as though a movie is unfolding right in front of you, while others are curated to incite immediate memory of that very moment. And yes, it’s perfectly okay to cry during the credits…
With additional one-click Lightroom tools, you’ll be able to transform images to feel like nostalgic film from the 70s, a cinematic short story, or simply keep those moments feeling as natural as they were. Every preset in this pack focuses on keeping skin tones natural for anyone and everyone while gently bringing other elements forward.
Deirdre and Jon Presets consists of 10 color presets built into profiles, 2 BW presets, and 22 Tools presets (please see * below for compatibility). The 22 Tools presets can be previewed in the Editing Preview Video towards the bottom of the page.
Keep in mind, these presets are built into Custom Profile Sliders, so you won’t see the settings move when you apply the preset (besides the BW’s).
Before and after images below demonstrate how each preset manipulates an image with identical white balance and exposure.
*These presets ONLY work with Lightroom Classic CC (version 7.5 or later), Lightroom CC (version 1.3 or later), and Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.5 or later). For earlier versions, you MUST update your editing applications to meet the required specifications.
